Pumice flue liner systems for new and existing chimneys
A pumice flue is an insulated chimney built from lightweight pumice-concrete liners. It is an excellent, durable solution for new builds and full chimney rebuilds, giving a well-insulated flue that promotes a strong, reliable draught. Pumice liners are equally suitable for relining existing masonry chimneys where the linings are surrounded by at least 100mm of brick, block or stone.
Schiedel liner systems
We install Schiedel pumice liner systems, available in a range of 15 diameters from 150mm to 1000mm internal diameter. The linings are suitable for all fuels, but not for condensing appliances including pellet or biomass. They are ideal for new build as well as for relining existing masonry chimneys.

Which solution is right for you?
A pumice system is ideal where a chimney is being built or rebuilt from scratch, rather than lining an existing one. Its insulation and thermal mass suit high-use appliances and give a long-lasting, integrated chimney. If you have a sound existing chimney, a flexible steel liner may be the better route — we will advise honestly at your free home survey.
