Building work for your stove, handled in-house
A stove is only as good as the fireplace and flue around it. Many installations need building work before the appliance can go in — forming or opening up a fireplace, building a suitable hearth, or making good afterwards. At Opulence Stoves we carry this work out ourselves, so your whole project is managed end to end by one team rather than coordinating separate trades who each blame the other when something does not line up.
What our building services cover
- Fireplace openings — forming a new opening, or opening up and enlarging an existing one to suit your chosen stove.
- Hearths — constructing compliant hearths in the right material and dimensions for the appliance and Building Regulations.
- Chambers and recesses — building or reshaping the chamber so the stove sits correctly and safely.
- Making good — plastering, rendering and finishing so the installation looks intended, not patched.
- Flue integration — pairing the building work with the correct flue solution, whether that is a liner, a twin wall system or a pumice flue.
One team, one point of responsibility
Because our own HETAS-registered engineers handle both the building work and the stove installation, there is a single point of responsibility from first survey to certified, lit stove. We assess everything during your free home survey, quote for the whole job up front with no hidden extras, and issue a Building Regulations compliance certificate on completion.
Frequently asked questions
Do you carry out the building work as well as the stove installation?
Yes. We handle the associated building work in-house — forming or opening up fireplaces, constructing hearths and making good — so your stove installation is managed end to end by one team rather than coordinating separate trades.
Can you create a fireplace opening where there is none?
Yes. As part of our building services we can form a new fireplace opening and hearth suitable for your chosen stove, and pair it with the appropriate flue solution, all assessed at your free home survey.
